All consuming Fire


While this is another high song I really like it. When they do it for New Song Cafe, they refer to the chords as numbers, which seems to be particularly popular with American musicians, and also means you can play in any key without changing the music..

For example they play this in D (1) and therefore 4 is G and 5 is A. It would be easy to play in A, which would be easier to sing. So A would be 1, D is 4 and E is 5. You have to think more carefully for the minor chords but it seems a straightforward way of changing keys to me, especially for guitarists and also to those of us who cheat by playing guitar chords on the piano!
